Here came the first day of my internship. Numerous butterflies started to fly in my stomach last night which made me hard to fall asleep. I cannot sleep soundly cause I was afraid that I might be late for work. The butterflies remained in my stomach till this morning.
I woke up at 8.30am when my alarm rang. My alarm ringtone is TVXQ (homin)'s summer hit, Ocean. I took a warm shower while trembling. I wore my purple shirt which was crumbled indeed. Then, I applied my new favourite product, CC cream plus BB cream on my face which turned my face radiant and glowing instantly I managed to apply a thin coat of mascara and curl my lashes before my dad got upstairs.
I ate the long-time-no-eat Mee Rebus which was bought by my dear dad. It was delicious! I tied my hair into a ponytail then before we left to the office which I am going to work for 2 months. My dad fetched me there since I had no idea where is the place.
We arrived at 10am sharp and my dad went along with me up to the office. There was only a sweet lady in the office. She gave me a file contained a stack of paper and asked me to read and understand. She said our boss would explain to me about my job when she came later. So I started to read page by page even though those documents seemed to be unreadable to me as there are many technical terms. Moreoever, they are about loan and loan is about maths. Nevertheless, I promised myself to do my best.
The sweet lady whose name is Yang got busy after we chatted together for not more than one hour while she was taking her breakfast in the office. She was very friendly and nice to me. I felt quite relaxed in the office because there were only 2 of us. Other staffs were not in the office today. Hope that I can form a good relationship with them.
My boss, Pui Pui came to the office afterwards. She looked so capable and independent. She has the image of a successful independent lady. She talked to me with her loud and clear voice, telling me not to worry as she was quite busy today but she will guide me about my job tomorrow with the presence of the computer. They also told me that I can leave earlier if there is no job for me to do. I think I shall always leave the office at 5pm cause it's my responsibility to sit in the office during the office hour.
I struggled with the unreadable stack of paper for all day long except my lunch time and toilet time. I went to eat Char Siew rice with Yang around 2pm and the sweet Char Siew made my day with a mug of hot barli. Basically, I got nothing to do today cause the computer was stolen last week and I cannot do my job without computer.
My first day of internship was rather relaxing. Hope to learn something and enjoy the process. Pray that I won't make stupid mistake and pick up new things quickly.

Middle English
Old English did not disappear overnight at the Norman Conquest but in the years following the Conquest, changes which had already begun to show themselves in pre-Conquest Old English continued. Norman Conquest of Britain by William, the Duke of Normandy occurred in 1066. The conquest was followed subsequently by the introduction of new spelling conventions. Norman scribes disregarded the traditional English spelling and simply spelt the language according to what they heard it, using many conventions of Norman French. Consequently, many changes which had not been reflected in OE spelling, or which had appeared only in occasional spellings, now emerged clearly.
A number of new consonant symbols were introduced. A new symbol g was introduced for the stops represented by OE ʒ, and the OE symbol only retained for the fricatives. OE had used f to represent both [f] and [v] whereas ME scribes used u or v the voiced sound. Similarly, z was introduced by s , though not consistently. The digraph th gradually replaced þ and ð, but ð was found up to 1300 and þ remained common until about 1400. It is to be noted that in Middle English there were separate phonemes /f/ and /v/, /s/ and /z/, and /θ/ and /ð/, where in OE there were pairs of allophones.
The letter y was no longer used as to represent a front rounded vowel, but was simply used as an alternative to i, so that ME king and kyng represent exactly the same pronunciation as do fir and fyr 'fire'. OE [dʒ] never occurred in word-initial position, only medially and finally. However, ME loanwords from French, like judge have [dʒ] in initial position.

只有小龙包 才能安抚我
It's monday again! I feel like hiding in my room and covering myself from head to toes with blanket but the quiz is coming and the assignment deadlines are coming. I got to wake up!
My laziness is at its peak now! I think I got homesick or I should refer it as bedsick. Suffering from bad sleeping quality... Oh my god! I can't focus on my studies whenever I don't sleep well. Insomnia can make things terrible. Trust me.
Finally I found my childhood favourite food in Tesco. Those cute mini paus shining in green just made my morning less sorrowful since I tried really hard to get up to class.
Let's fight for this week then I can enjoy the next week!
May will be a busy month full with assignments, activities, shopping and concert. Taste the salt and sweet and endure it, go through it and laugh till the end.

Home
I admit that home is the best place ever. There is no place like home.
I am the most comfortable at home no matter what I am doing.
I know I should be doing my assignment but I let myself be drowned in the fantasy of movies. Watching some old movies which are 80s' Hong Kong productions relaxes every nerve of mine.
Mum's cooking is always superb even though she tends to forget to add some quite important ingredients in her dishes. I think she is getting older, but not only her. Me and my father are in the process of aging too.
Finally I got a chance to sing k with part of my family members. I know it was now or never. Feel sorry for making my dad felt exhausted after the singing session but at least I enjoyed 90% of the 3 hours. I was happy to end the singing session with Selina's meaningful song "爱我的每个人".

Chasing
Assignments are evil that they all like to gather and chase you at full force at the same time.
I got a headache because of my literature assignment which require us to act and film a 10 minutes video based on Shakespeare's masterpiece, Hamlet. I know there are millions of shakespeare's fan out there including my lecturer, but it just piss me off! For your information, it's a story of tragedy with all the main characters die at the end.
I think I am going crazy not only because of assignments but also the boredom which is trapping me all the time. I can't find any interesting dramas or movies to watch other than the super amusing Running Man which I watch every week on a regular basis.
I steal some time to revise a korean drama starred by Lee Dong Wook and Kim Sun Ah called Scent of a Woman broadcasted in 2011. It's been my favourite korean drama so far. Have a nice weekend ahead everyone! By the way, I think for most of the university students weekend starts on friday...haha...

Ponteng kelas
Sometimes I can't differentiate between reality and dream. It's like I never wake up from a dream before, a very long dream indeed.
I remember that the professor of psychology once told us in the lecture that there is a kind of people whose mood is largely dependent or easily influenced by weather. I nodded my head because I am definitely this kind of person.
It's raining now in Penang, not too heavily. The raining voice is so soothing to my ears. I like raining especially on the day of laziness when I escape from the lecture class, spending some qualitied time alone.
Annie, a not so close friend of mine, saw the definitions of extrovert and introvert persons on facebook yesterday. I was beside her, staring to the screen of her brand new Ipad mini while comprehending those definitions. yup! Loneliness means spending some time alone comfortably to introvert person, I totally agree with this point. This is what I am doing now, writing on my blog leisurely without any disturbance or interruption.
There is only me in this room, with the unstoppable spinning sound of fans and dripping sound of rain.
Let's take a deep breath and take a break today.

losing focus
wasting my time and did nothing during last weekend. I still cannot focus on my tutorial preparation now. What am I doing? Oh my gosh! Someone please hit me at my head!
I am supposed to read tons of book but I still wasn't able to borrow any book from the library because the 3rd floor of the library is under renovation.
What can I do to keep at the right track? This is the 3rd week of 2nd sem already. Time flies. Uni life seems to be plain besides my little pleasure gained on cooking game during weekend.
I should be more disciplined and consistent and welcome the coming of this weekend as I will be going out for yummy breakfast and spending some leisure time on shopping!
God bless me and wish me luck for this week!

Take another step
Stepped into this new sem and still trying hard to adapt to the same environment and same coursemates again.
I have to admit that I am a poor interlocutor and poor adapter as well. feeling uneasy all the time.
I guess I got a sickness named homesick and home is the most comfortable place for me to hang around.
I wonder my ability to do well in my study currently. I look upon myslef as too minute in front of the unknown challenge.
I need some magic to hypnotize me or perhaps delicious food to cheer me up. I am still keeping the unhealthy lifestyle with me these few days. no early sleeping and no limit for food consumption! This is bad! I am bad too!
anxiety still rolling in my stomach. Let's pray for me. Calm down and run ahead!

Let's cheer for holiday!
I am a girl, just a girl who is not thin and obsessed with delicious food!
but here comes Chinese new year, which happen once in a year. I wanna dress beautifully and put on my lovely makeup and impress myself that Hey! I am not ugly, girl!
Am I supposed to address me as girl? or should I address me as lady?
I bought all my new outfits with see-through element and fluttering material. I failed to get me a new pair of not-so-high heels.Anyway, I hope my old heels can match well with my new outfits.
Had enjoyable moments with my old gang of friends who I always stick to. Thanks for spending your precious time with me. I appreciate you girls! ^.^
I invovled in the food storm greatly these few days and I wish that I will be able to slim down soon. I officially announce that the diet plan has begun right now!
Babe, wish u all have an enjoyable sunday as sweet as sundae!

Race start!
I am one of the big fans of Korean show "Running Man". The title of this post is inspired big nose Suk Jin oppa.
Today is the very first day of exam. I managed to fell asleep last midnight. My biological clock still needs some time to be corrected since I always sleep very late at home so I cannot easily fall asleep before 2 or 3am. sigh...I think I have made myself into trouble.
Today's test paper provides us with 2 hours and I did spend some of my time to ponder where should I hang out and have fun after the war ends. haha...daydreaming again!
I still feel very awkward around my coursemates and I don't know why. I have mentioned here before I am kinda anti-social, right?
erm...anyway I hope all my coursemates are doing well for their exam and as well as me myself.
Actually I do love my mother tongue, chinese language but I have to immerse myself in English world currently for the exam. Hopefully I can write smooth-flowing essayS with the least grammatical error.
Tomorrow the second paper is coming! The most disliked paper BM. Everyone fighting!

I used to spend a lot of time here to write something more meaningful or perhaps more emotional.
But now I always show great interest to fashion and cosmetic stuffs in my blog instead of recording my daily life and mood like writing diary.
It's 2013 now. We have survived through the so-called last day of the world. By the way, I don't believe in such crazy issue because I don't think it may happen when I am still living on this earth. u know what I mean?
I would like to shout "Happy new year everyone!" I got very useful christmas gift from my dear aunt and I enjoyed my study week as a short break and no study mood. trying to catch up currently...exam is no fun!
My mum cooked a lot of nice dishes for us and I eat like a pig at home.
These are the photos of my christmas nail art. I painted my nails using Etude House black nail polish and on top of it I apply a coat of Elianto shine opal and another coat of The Face Shop silver sparkle to make my nails as glittery as possible. For my right hands, I replaced the black undertone with lavender purple. However, sparkles and glitters looked best with black undertone.
